For your holidays in Salento…Tenuta Masseria Chicco Rizzo to discover the ancient pleasure of being in contact with nature

The aim of the olive oil workshop is to teach participants about the farm’s cultivations and the techniques used to produce the Masseria Chicco Rizzo biological oil, which has been selected by Slow Food as one of Italy’s finest extra virgin oils. The workshop on the estate can be extended to take in observation of both traditional and modern harvesting techniques.

During the harvest itself, moreover, we organise days when you can come and harvest olives yourself, having fun and spending the day in touch with nature. Alternatively, you can visit the nearby “Hypogeal oil mills” that have been related to the history of the Salento and of the Basilian monks for centuries.
